A few things to help open your account

Passport

Make sure you have your passport and your mobile device with you.

Proof of address

This can be your utility bill, car registration, land tax bill, dated in the last 3 months.

Work Permit

If applicable, please have your Work Permit or other immigration documents available.

If you are under 18, please visit our branch with an adult to open your account.

Before You Start

  • You will need 15-20 minutes to complete this application process.
  • You will need to use your mobile device to receive SMS and take a ‘selfie’ to verify your identity.
  • When taking a picture of your ID and your ‘selfie’ please ensure you are in a well lit room and the pictures are clear.
  • We recommend using a secure WIFI (such as your home network) for the mobile part of the application (we recommend you do not use a public network such as a café), if you use data services you may be subject to charges from your data provider.
  • Proof of address for Bermudians - A valid proof of address can be your utility bill (i.e. BELCO bill), car registration, land tax bill these must be dated in the last 3 months. It must state your name and current address.
  • Proof of address for Non Bermudians - You must upload your lease/rental agreement. (Utility bill is not accepted) If you have recently arrived in Bermuda and do not have a permanent address yet you should provide a signed letter from your employer confirming your temporary address, job title, date your employment commenced and the contact details for employers HR department.
  • Your account will be open within 3-5 Business Days (Exceptions may apply).
